Summary:
The Park Attendant is responsible for providing park services and ensuring the safety and well-being of park visitors.
They will perform various duties related to park maintenance, customer service, and safety compliance.
The Candidate shall perform the daily cleaning, light maintenance, and refuse removal services at two (2) Recreation Areas at the Cape Cod Canal.
These recreation areas have one (1) comfort stations at each recreation area, numerous park benches and picnic tables and pavilions, several trash and recycling receptacles, visitor parking lots, landscaped areas, and access to the Canal's North & South Service Roads.
All work will be completed to the satisfaction of the Technical Point of Contact.
Key
Responsibilities:
Park Maintenance:
The Park Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the park facilities.
This includes regular cleaning of restrooms, picnic areas, and other public spaces.
They will also assist in the maintenance of trails, grounds, and equipment.
Customer Service:
The Park Attendant will provide excellent customer service to park visitors.
They will answer questions, provide information about park activities and amenities, and assist visitors with any needs or concerns.
They will also enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Safety Compliance:
The Park Attendant will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of park visitors.
They will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols, including COVID-19 monitoring procedures.
This includes conducting periodic sanitation inspections, disinfecting project sites according to CDC guidelines, practicing social distancing, and providing employee training on safety measures.
Emergency Response:
The Park Attendant will be trained in emergency response procedures and will be responsible for documenting and reporting any accidents or incidents that occur within the park.
They will maintain emergency contact numbers, provide directions to the nearest hospital, and coordinate with onsite First Aid/CPR responders.
Key Personnel:
Competent Person (CP):
The Candidate shall designate one employee as the site's Competent Person (CP).
The CP will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for all employees and will report to the Candidate's upper management.
They must have related construction and/or service experience.
First Aid/CPR Responders:
When emergency medical services are not accessible within five minutes of the work location and there are two or more workers onsite, at least two employees shall be trained in First Aid and CPR.
Service Details for Park Attendant Position:
The Park Attendant position is being solicited for the U.
S.
Army Corps of Engineers Cape Cod Canal Recreation Areas.
The contract period of performance for the base year is from April 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024.
The services will include providing park attendant services for a total of 92 scheduled days during this period.
Labor and Supplies The Candidate will be responsible for furnishing all labor necessary to provide the specified services for the duration of the contract period.
All cleaning supplies and materials will be supplied by the government.
Transportation The government will provide the Candidate with a compact electric utility vehicle for the purpose of transporting personnel and supplies between project site areas.
The vehicle is to be used only while in the performance of duties and not for unofficial business.
